Feeling Alternative?

Not everyone has to be a Skier or Snowboarder to enjoy what Kirchberg/Kitzbühel has to offer. Alpenrider can reccomend activities for people looking for that little bit extra action, adventure or just something different. These activities vary due to weather and current demand, but when we know something hot, you can bet you will be there to see it.
 

Rodeling / Tobogganing

Race your friends down the Gaisberg, which is just across the road from the Chalet, for a laugh that has to be tried. Full winter gear is needed, so rug up for the rush. We actually take the guests from the chalet on Wednesday nights at 6.00pm as a group, its so much more fun, then we have a gluewein at half way and a laugh. Cost for the lift pass (seperate to the normal ski pass), tobboggan hire and the free drink is € 25.

Open every night except Mondays and Sundays from 6.30pm till 9.30pm

Night Skiing / Boarding

Twice a week, the Gaisberg turns the lights on for the die hard skiers and boarders. Let loose on the freshly groomed and near empty slopes. Combine a night when it is snowing and you will think you are in another world. Just remmember that it may be tough to do after a full day on the snow !!

Open from 18.30 till 21.30hr. Prices - £12.50 per Adult

Paraflying

Check out the runs from high above the mountain tops with Elemnet 3. You can even do a ski take off with Manfred, Marcus or Martin, who are the sole team allowed to fly above Kirchberg and Kitzbuhel. Dont think its lame,  Bode Miller (US ski star) was shocked how awesome this is and we rate it as a awesome challenge to those who can afford it !

Live Ice Hockey

A brand new stadium built seating over 2000 people in an electrifying atmosphere that can be compared to good old footy games back home. Three periods of hard core ice hockey with the odd slugfest has everyone pumped, even if itís your first game.
